Writing the Fictional Landscape in Diamond, Oregon
I'm thrilled to announce my newest venture, Let's Go Write, writing retreats and workshops in exotic locations, starting with Diamond, Oregon in April of 2011. Go to the Diamond page on the Let's Go Write website to learn more and join us in one of our adventures!
Attending a writing retreat is one of the best ways to rejuvenate your writing and yourself. The Diamond retreat will feature the best of two worlds--writing instruction in the morning and time to write in the afternoon. There will also be time to explore the countryside, which is spectacular--one of the least-populated counties in the entire United States. Rumor has it there are more cattle than people living there, and you'll feel like you're in the middle of the Old West. The Diamond Hotel, where we'll stay for the week, is an old stagecoach stop, and the family that runs it is friendly and welcoming.
The workshop itself is called, Writing the Fictional Landscape, Inspiration by Setting. Whether you are writing fiction or non-fiction, the place where your characters live and interact is a vital element of your book. Inspired by the unique area of Diamond, we'll discuss all aspects of setting, through lively teaching and discussion.
Please consider joining us. Just head over to the Let's Go Write website to learn more.

Terry Price and I will be leading this retreat at a retreat center near Nashville, Tennessee on September 20-23, 2012. This contemplative, mentored writing retreat will allow you to unplug from the world and spend time with your words. For more information, please visit the retreat page on Terry's website.
